Introduction

Hello!  I am Eileen and my degree area in the TCPCG program is Special Education.  In recent years, I have been primarily raising my three children and before that I was a lawyer.  As I lawyer, I primarily represented people living in poverty and people with disabilities.  Although I enjoyed my clients,  the best job I have ever had is being a mother.  For the past 7 years, I have been homeschooling my children, because of a desire to let them learn at their own pace and in their own way, and to allow them to discover their own unique gifts and talents.  It has been an amazing journey.  I am very excited to be formally studying education with a community of learners, and I look forward to teaching in the broader community.  Some of my favorite things to do include yoga, walking, and directing and producing Shakespearean theater with young people.
